Class Time- check vocab packet, completing the sentences and synonym section. Today we will work on common and proper nouns, single and plural nouns. In class we will work on 9.1 and 9.2 worksheet.

Wednesday- Last In class time to work with group. Create your Egypt game board. Remember to use your time wisely and delegate the tasks to each member. I will be checking your team notes today as well.

Thursday- Shurley review, vocabulary review. Remember we will have a vocabulary review test Friday. 1-42 from reference 5A and 5B. We have had all these words before so this is just a review. 5 minute group time.

Friday- Vocab test. All review words.... no new words. 5 minute group time.

Monday- Shurley 105- Pattern 4 sentences Vocabulary quiz over Shurley Reference 5A. We will not have much time in class to look them over so make sure you study.

Tuesday- Shurley 106- Pattern 4 sentences. (Time in class to work on worksheet 4:3) Worksheet 4:3 is due Wednesday. 20 Questions about Egypt due Thursday.

Wednesday- Work in your small group creating Egypt game. I will supply you with large paper for board and construction paper. You will need your social studies book, an article from the internet, and your creativity. As you work with your group, decide if you will need crayons or colored pencils, scisors, glue or tape, etc. You do not need to make your game 3-d but I am sure you could find a way to fold a pyramid if you choose. Think about other materials you could glue down for the river or desert.

Thursday- Work on your Egypt game. 20 questions due today. Start thinking about your paragraph. It must have a good hook, main idea, 3 details and the three supporting details, and a strong conclusion. The rough draft paragraph will be due Tuesday.

Friday- Work on game board. Work on paragraph. Question cards should be nearing completion. Vocabulary Quiz Today!!

Time in class to work on rough draft and graphic organizer. This will be due Tuesday.

Turn in rough draft. We are color coding the rough draft. Bring colored pencils. If incomplete I will notate that on skyward. You must turn in the organizer and rough draft at any stage of completion, even if this means only the graphic organizer. I will review them and return Wednesday. I will pass out your grades and allow you to pick up any missing assignments from this quarter. I will give credit for them if they are turned in Wednesday.

February 17th, Wednesday
I have returned rough drafts to those who need to complete them. The rough draft needs to be done for Thursday. If you completed your organizer and rough draft you have no homework.
Shurley: Lesson 64 sentence flow. Study guide for Shurley test Monday. This is a small test over terms we have reviewed most of the year. Nothing to stress about. Use your study guide and you are sure to get an 'A'.
